Point Of Sale (POS) System is basically one of the most critical tools for day-to-day business operations, POS is consist on device that is used to process transactions by retail customers. whenever you have visited any Mall or Store, You have seen a POS at the time of Checkout on the billing Desk.
Components of POS:
POS has basically six components:
- First component is the Display unit which shows you the billing.
- Second component is the keyboard or touch screen through which we can enter the data.
- Third component is the barcode scanner through which we scan the barcode on the product.
- Fourth component is the printer to print the receipt.
- Fifth component is the cash register in which we store the cash obtained during the sale and by product and the software interface which runs on the point of sale system.
Here i just want to show you the Point of Sale System so here whenever you reach on the POS System the user or the sale person use this scanner to scan the barcode on the product so the system can get the information about the product.
This screen is the display unit through which the user select the product with their price and the information which the user has been collected through the scanner.
Once the bill has been generated so customer pay through this POS Terminal this is the POS terminal here you swipe the card or tap the card here so your charges will be deduct from your card, the system will charged you whatever the fee or whatever the cost there you can pay.
You can also use this Cash Register if the customer doesn't want to use the POS System, When the customer can paid their bill in cash so you can store the cash here in the Cash Register.
Once all these things will be done so through the display unit user done the bill and through this receipt printer the receipt will be generated for the customer, so here there are two receipts one receipt is the customer use the POS terminal so one receipt from here for the card and one receipt here for the bill of the material which the consumer have purchased from the Store across restore so here if this is the concept of a power system or point of sale system these are the main component which exist generally in a POS or Point Of Sale system.
